When ready for a new sewing machine for my beginner quilt passion, I read every review I could get hold of. Upon so many recommendations for the brother cs9500, I bought one off amazon at a cost of about $500.00. After a year of working with this machine, three trips to the repair shop with another one tomorrow, I can honestly say this was the worse purchase I have made in a very lone time. It can’t even thread a bobbin right, sewing a straight line is pretty near impossible as it either grabs the material and pulls it way too far to the left, or it just sews a stitch that won’t hold. I have complained to brother who told me to just take it in for repairs. Duh! Even my repairman thinks it is an awful machine. I will never buy another brother sewing machine again. Ever.
