It operates 9-10 decibels quieter vs. other window-mounted units — great as a bedroom AC!

To reduce noise, the Haier Serenity window air conditioner is designed w/ a compressor blanket — it uses different mechanisms to control air flow, making it quieter and energy efficient.

If you are a light sleeper, this is the one for you!
Haier ESAQ406P window ac also features a built-in dehumidifier and LED remote control.
Expensive for a 6000 BTU unit, but I think the Haier Serenity is the best quiet window air conditioner that is somewhat affordable.

The downside is the price – it is not cheap. It would be higher on my list if it were more affordable.

They are more expensive, but the WiFi “smart” functionality and quiet operation make it worth the money.
