Even though they’re not the cheapest, they include more powerful features:

– Quiet operation

In this review I’ll refer to the Honeywell 12000 BTU portable air conditioner (HL12CESWK).

AC units are slightly more expensive than others, but are very quick at cooling and include a powerful dehumidifier — beneficial if you live in a higher humidity area! (in a valley or near water)
Comparable dehumidifiers can cost $150-250.
This gives the Honeywell Contempo air conditioners a higher price value.
