LG LP1017WSR Reviews.
For older homes or city apartments, having a reliable AC unit is an affordable luxury.
They’re reasonably and built for durability — expect them to last 4+ years!
Here’s a few benefits you can expect.
1.) Quieter operation than a window unit
2.) More affordable than HVAC or mini split system
3.) AC on wheels = portable and versatile
The LG portable air conditioners are at the high-end of the spectrum.
More expensive than similar 10,000 BTU units, but it offers faster cooling + quieter operation.
Power: 10,200 BTU
Rooms: 250 sq. ft.
For rooms larger/smaller, it’s offered in 2 other sizes:

LG LP1017WSR Portable Air Conditioner:
As one of the most popular units online, the LG LP1017WSR portable air conditioner offers some top features:
– Thermostat (for setting room temp)
– Built-in dehumidifier
– Auto evaporation system
– LCD Remote control
– Quiet operation
Unlike many other portable air conditioners, the LG 10,200 BTU unit lets you set your desired temperature — using the remote control you can toggle room temperatures.
The air conditioner has a built-in thermostat so it’s able to assess the current temp + increase/decrease cooling as needed.
Area: 250 sq. ft.
Temp Range: 60°F – 89°F
If you live in a humid area, you’ll love the built-in dehumidifier feature.
It’s able to remove up to remove 2.50 pints of air moisture per hour.
Dehumidifier: 60 pints daily
Most portable air conditioners of this size include a dehumidifier, but not nearly this powerful.
Another benefit of the dehumidifier is the self-evaporation system — it significantly decreases the amount of energy required to operate.
Self-evaporation system: process for cooling the AC condenser coils taking water from the dehumidifier tank. Through this process the LG portable air conditioner decreases energy 10-30% (and you won’t need to empty the water tank as often!).
And when it does need to be emptied, the “water full indicator” light will also notify you.
Lastly, the LG LP1017WSR air conditioner is very quiet (compared to similar 10,000 BTU units).
Noise level (dBs): ≤ 53 decibels
Buyers love it as a bedroom air conditioner — not only is it very quiet, but they also say it’s easy to install (using the window vent). There’s even a new “sleep mode” for keeping noise level to a minimum.
Installation only takes 10-15 mins too!

LG LP1017WSR Air Conditioner:
The LG portable AC is a solid option for small or medium size rooms (up to 300 sq. ft.).
It’s a little more expensive than other portable air conditioners I’ve covered, but is also more powerful + quieter than most 10,000 BTU units.
Because of its versatility I think it’s one of the best units for home — its can be used for living rooms, bedrooms, apartments, home offices, etc.
It also offers fast cooling and quiet operation, which is ideal for bedrooms (especially light sleepers!).
The powerful 60-pint dehumidifier is another benefit you won’t get w/ other units.
Stand-alone dehumidifiers of this size can cost $150-250, without the AC function.
With the capacity to remove nearly 4-gallons of air moisture per day, it’s similar to some high-
LG LP1017WSR air conditioner has some mixed reviews, but the majority are very positive — some say its louder than expected, but that’s usually caused by the air filter (which collects dust and needs to be cleaned 1-2 times per year).
For anyone seeking a powerful, quiet portable air conditioner I think the LG fits the bill.
